Karlovy Vary - Interesting places - EVANGELICAL CHURCH This church stands in the terrace at the top of Freedom Square. It was built in 1857 to the design of the architect Gottlieb Christian Cantian of Berlin. The Prussina King Friedrich Wilhelm IV made a financial contribution towards its construction. It is in the Neo-Roman (pseudo wont quite do, friends, will it) style and is divided into three naves. Its elegant, uncluttered interior is enhanced by distinguished wooden wall panelling.
